New Year, New Treats!

Happy New Year, friends.

It’s been quite some time since I wrote on this little blog of mine so I’m here with a Teton update and a new treat review.

Last November, Teton turned 11. I didn’t think it was possible to love him any more, but it turns out that is very possible. ♥

2019 was a year of more time outside in the form of long walks, hikes, and camping trips and I’m happy to say we brought Teton along every chance we had and I’m pretty sure he enjoyed every minute of it. Here’s to 2020 having more of the same!

Another thing Teton has been enjoying this week are a new-to-us treat from Plaid Pennie.

You may remember my last post which highlighted this brand and one of their freshly baked dog treats. Check that out to view their lovely packaging.

This time around, we were fortunate enough to get a special shipment of their Goat Cheese and Basil Bites, which is wonderful because Teton has a thing for goat cheese!

These treats boast an ingredient list of just oats, goat cheese, basil, and vitamin E, vitamin C, and potassium sorbate (a preservative).

Plaid Pennie’s Goat Cheese and Basil Bites come in the same vacuum sealed package and are shipped (for free!) after they are baked fresh for your order.

Plaid Pennie’s recommends that you refrigerate these treats to keep them fresh for longer. They get a hair crunchier when you do that, but Teton doesn’t mind.

I’ve been known to taste Teton’s treats myself, but I don’t have to do that with these, because Plaid Pennie’s tastes every recipe before it’s added to their spread.

Sometimes I get treats for Teton that have just a few ingredients and I wonder is that really all that’s in these? With these treats, though, I don’t wonder at all! One look at them and you can easily confirm what the ingredients are (like the basil in the picture below!).

Big thanks to Plaid Pennie’s for thinking of us and sending a bag of Goat Cheese and Basil Bites for Teton to enjoy.

Happy tails!

HAAAAAAAAY MACARENA!

Hi there, friends. Long time no blog. Like, a real long time. Oopsies.

Teton and I are happy to be back today to share one of his newest most favorite treats with you.

These…

…are Plaid Pennie Dog Treats!

Available in a myriad of awesome flavors like Peanut Butter Love, Cranberry Crumpets, Goat Cheese and Basil, Maple Waffles, or the one we scored – Trainer’s Treats – which are made of oats, cheddar cheese, peanut butter, and chicken, Plaid Pennie treats are baked fresh, taste tested, and vacuum sealed before they’re sent off to you!

Plaid Pennie packaging is a delight to open. And, having tried more dog treats than your average person, getting these in a vacuum sealed bag with clear labeling, detailed ingredients, and instructions on how to best store these treats speaks volumes to the quality of the product.

As you can see from the photos above and below, Teton is pretty into these.

I can’t say that I blame him because, well, I love oats. And peanut butter. And cheddar cheese.

But, I also think I want to try, er, I mean I want Teton to try ALL THE FLAVORS!!!

I mean, look at this spread.

Plaid Pennie tastes all of their recipes personally before evaluating them in a laboratory for protein, fiber, fat, and moisture specifics.

I wouldn’t know anything about testing dog treats before giving them to your dog. 😉

I really love the Plaid Pennie Trainer’s Treats for Teton because they’re soft enough that he’s able to easily chew on them, but hard enough that they don’t crumble in my hands or in the bag. They smell like little chunks of peanut butter so it’s not long after I open the bag that Teton is at my side with his best begging face.

In addition to their great spread of flavors, Plaid Pennie offers three and six month subscription and the opportunity to create a custom recipe for your dog(s).

If you’re on the hunt for a fun new treat that’s pretty darn unique, check out Plaid Pennie!

Big thanks to the folks at Plaid Pennie for sending us a bag of the Trainer’s Treats to review.

Happy tails…
