Blue Buffalo Kitchen Cravings Savory Sizzlers

Happy Saturday!

Teton in the Snow

A few weekends ago we went snowshoeing and my husband took this picture of Teton. It reminds me of movie poster or something. Adorable and creepy and mysterious all at the same time. šŸ™‚

This week and last Teton has been mowing down Blue Buffalo’s Kitchen Cravings Savory Sizzlers.

Blue Buffalo 3

Our pals at Chewy.com sent them our way and I’m almost 100% positive that Teton could smell them through the bag and the box they came in.

The minute I opened the bag, they reminded me of Beggin’ Strips.Ā But these treats from Blue Buffalo are so, so much better.

Here’s what they look like up close.

Blue Buffalo 1

That’s one piece ripped into three smaller pieces, which makes this a great treat for big and small dogs alike. Sometimes Teton gets a whole piece to himself and sometimes he splits one with his cousin, Henley Pretzel. Savory Sizzlers are a stronger smelling and softerĀ treat, making them drool-worthy to your dog and easy to chew if you have one with sensitive teeth.

Why would you choose these treats over Beggin’ Strips? I’ll tell you why!

Here is the ingredient list for Blue Buffalo’s Savory Sizzlers.

Deboned Pork, Pearled Barley, Rye, Pea Protein, Potato Protein, Tapioca Starch, Vegetable Glycerin, Cane Molasses, Brown Rice, Brown Sugar, Oatmeal, Gelatin, Canola Oil (source of Omega 6 Fatty Acids), Dried Cultured Skim Milk, Cheese Powder, Bacon Fat, Natural Flavor, Salt, Sunflower Lecithin, Paprika, Potassium Chloride, Carrot, preserved with Citric Acid, Mixed Tocopherols & Oil of Rosemary

And here is theĀ ingredient list for Beggin’ Strips.

Ground wheat, corn gluten meal, wheat flour, water, ground yellow corn, sugar, glycerin, soybean meal, hydrogenated corn syrup, bacon (preserved with sodium nitrite), salt, bacon fat (preserved with BHA and citric acid), meat, phosphoric acid, sorbic acid (a preservative), calcium propionate (a preservative), natural and artificial smoke flavors, red 40, yellow 5, blue 1, yellow 6, added color

I don’t know about you, but I have no clue what red 40, yellow 5, and blue 1 are. And I sure as heck don’t want my dog eating hydrogenated corn syrup if I don’t eat it myself. Also, why is the first ingredient not pork?!?!

If your dog is a fan of jerky-like treats, head over to Chewy.com and snag a bag of these.

Happy tails…
