The Honest Kitchen’s Haddock Filets

Hello! Happy Weekend.

Teton was lucky enough to receive two treats from his pals over at Chewy.com this month. Today I’ll tell you about the first and next week I’ll post about the second. (We sure do love Chewy.com and their treat and food offers each month. Thanks, Chewy!)

But first, a photo of Teton. (In case you forgot what he looks like since it’s been 12 years since I posted.) 😉

“No dogs in the front seat.” Riiiiiight. And then, after he jumps up, I turn the butt warmer on for him.

Dehydrated treats are on of Teton’s favorites. We’ve tried a lot – he doesn’t discriminate. I wonder if they smell smellier and more amazing to dogs because of the way they’re dried…

Honest Kitchen 1

One brand of the many that Chewy.com carries, called The Honest Kitchen, has a line of dehydrated treats that you can feed both you dog and cat. So, that’s pretty sweet.

Teton received a box of the Pure Icelandic Haddock Filets. Mmmmm. Haddock.

This is our favorite kind of treat because it has one single ingredient: dehydrated haddock.

You can’t really go wrong with just one ingredient. Unless it’s the sug or something.

Honest Kitchen 3

The Honest Kitchen‘s haddock filets come in portions that are about the length of a fruit leather strip. (Remember fruit leather? Awesome.) They’re much thicker than fruit leather, though. You can very easily break off a piece or two from a portion of the haddock and use it as a training treat and just as easily leave it in tact as a single serving for a larger dog.

One thing I really like about these treats is that they come in a resealable plastic bag, so I know that as long as I don’t forget to seal it right, they won’t go stale. Seemingly little things make a big difference, right?

Teton’s sniffer goes crazy when I open the bag of these haddock treats. I don’t know that he’s ever had haddock – maybe that’s why? Either way, I love that they have one single ingredient, are easy to feed, and are unique in their flavor to keep things interesting for Captain Fuzzy Butt. 🙂

Check out Chewy.com’s entire assortment of The Honest Kitchen here (they even have dehydrated dog and cat food) and their line of dehydrated treats here.

One last thing…

Dogs are the best.

Happy tails…

P.S. I’m using the new editor with WordPress so bear with me if things look wonky for a bit while I get it figured out!
