You may remember that back in April we started giving The Little Blogger glucosamine supplements to help support his bones and joints.
We went through two jars of the Trader Joe’s supplements when I remembered that Zuke’s made glucosamine and chondroitin treats for dogs. And, well, once you go Zuke’s, you never go back!
Teton definitely prefers Hip Action treats over supplements like the ones we were giving him from TJ’s because they are no different than t.r.e.a.t.s.
Check it.
If you could come through your computer screen and smell these bad boys, you’d get it in a second because they smell just like their ingredients.
Blueberries and apples and carrots, oh my! 😀
Getting Teton to eat these treats is easy as pie. Every morning after potties he runs right over to his treat jar and waits for one.
Remember the deal with glucosamine?
Glucosamine – an amino sugar that is already present in bone marrow, animal bones, and shellfish – may do the following when taken as a regular supplement:
1) Reduce the risk of osteoarthritis
2) Reduce the risk of joint degeneration
3) Reduce the risk of cartilage deterioration
And chondroitin…
Chondroitin may also reduce the risk of osteoarthritis, joint degeneration, and cartilage deterioration when taken as a dietary supplement.
Why wouldn’t I be on board with a treat that Teton loves and that’s good for him?
Bonus: 6 oz bags of Hip Action treats are only $9 (while 16 oz bags (60 treats per bag!) are just $19)
If you’re thinking about starting your pooch on a glucosamine supplement, give Zuke’s Hip Action treats a try. Your dog will love you for it in more ways than one!
