Lick ‘n Crunch!

Hello!  Good to see you.

Did you have a good Thanksgiving?  We did.  It was great to have a few days off and spend time with family eat non-stop.  Kidding!  I love spending time with the family, too.  😉

This marks the second year that we watched our good buddies Gracie Rose and Kali over the holiday.

Teton and the girls had a rip-roaring good time chasing one another around the house and fighting over toys.

They also relaxed…

…and posed for a holiday photo (in his Silly Buddy bow tie).

In between allthatgoodstuff, we took a break for some treats.

That is, after I ate two of them.  Yep.  You read that right.  Two.

Maybe I should show you the front of the box before you stop reading all together.

Cookies?  With carob?  And peanut butter?  For dogs?!?!  Pssssh.  These look too good to be a dog treat.

And they are, my friends.

Ok, not really.  The dogs just loved ’em!

Three Dog Bakery’s Lick ‘n Crunch treats are ones that I’ve always wanted to try for Teton, but I never got around to checking out the ingredients and buying them.  I’m glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised with what’s inside.

Kinda looks like a box of Oreos, huh?  I’m willing to bet that these ingredients are better.

Unsure of carob?  Don’t be.  Carob comes from the Carob tree and when dried, roasted, or turned into a powder (as is the case for Lick ‘n Crunch treats), produces a semi-sweet taste.  It’s safe for dogs and I’ve used it in a few recipes, as well.  It’s a great alternative to chocolate.

Look at that lip licking action on Gracie Rose.  (She could hardly sit still long enough for me to snap a few shots!)

And, in true Oreo fashion…

Three Dog Bakery’s Lick ‘n Crunch treats are around $5 a box.  The ingredients are solid, but it’s the kind of treat that I probably won’t buy again because it’s more of an every-once-in-a-while goodie.  I will say, however, that I got these at my local grocery store, which usually isn’t the best place to buy treats for your pets.  So, if you’re in a pinch at Walgreens or Top Foods and you need a treat for your fur kid, this isn’t a bad option.

And with that, we’re off to get some puppy energy out!

See you on Thursday for an interactive treat toy review of this…

Have a great night!

  1. Gracie Rose and Kali are so sweet! Look at that underbite…so cute! I’m interested to hear your review of that toy. We were recently told by a behaviorist to consider buying more “food games” for the pups to keep their minds challenged. Your review will be perfect timing!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! I’d love to talk more about the new biz and get any tips you might have 🙂
